This Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide leadership in establishing the organization’s overall strategic direction, maximize the performance of MHH real estate holdings for the benefit of the MHH enterprise; and assure that health care and housing services, home care and medical services, as well as youth recreation services, meet the highest quality care, customer service and regulatory standards. The CEO will achieve budgeted net operating margin goals for MHH overall and for individual MHH enterprises, and will lead the organization in achieving strong financial performance by meeting occupancy targets; streamlining operations; containing costs; achieving key operating ratios; generating new sources of revenue; and spearheading fund-raising.
This leader will possess the ability to think strategically; set priorities; raise philanthropic funds; maximize and gain the full benefit of significant Real Estate holdings; ensure the provision of outstanding Senior Living, Home Care and Community-Based Services; demonstrate a record of meeting and exceeding financial targets; and run a financially-viable, high-quality businesses with a positive bottom line.
The CEO will possesses leadership experience gained in a multi-site nonprofit or for-profit Senior Living organization; Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) network with significant real estate holdings; or captive multi-site Senior Care organization within an acute care hospital or health system with considerable real estate and property management activities. Serious consideration will be given to acute care executives with a demonstrated understanding of Senior Living and Home and Community-Based Services, and significant real estate and property management skill. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a Master’s in Business, Healthcare, Finance, or a related discipline preferred. The ideal leader will possess a minimum of eight (8) years of significant management experience. This executive will be a dynamic and compassionate leader, able to establish a vision and strategic direction, set priorities, maximize the potential of the organization’s real estate holdings, achieve excellence in care delivery and customer service, meet financial targets, and be responsive to and respected by members of the fraternal organization, residents of the senior living community and their families, the Board, staff members, and the larger community in the Utica region and in Metropolitan New York City.

Job Summary:
Develops, implements and oversees the operations of the 29-bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU). Accountability includes operations oversight, participation in and support of a strategic and business planning process, implementation planning, development of new services and business relationships, and State and Federal regulatory compliance. Reports to the Senior Vice President of Nursing and works collaboratively with Mercy Health Services management at all levels.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree, Maryland Nursing Home Administrator license, a minimum of five (5) years of management experience, and strong knowledge of MDS required. RN preferred. Must possess excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
